Stereotaxy is a highly precise procedure based on the Cartesian coordinates X, Y, and Z. For this procedure to be performed, it is necessary to secure a stereotaxy frame on the patient. There are different types of stereotactic markers.
In Brazil, one of the most commonly used models is from the brand Micromar, the Aimsystem TM03B Stereotactic System. Other traditional models used worldwide are from the brands Inomed ZD, Riechter-Moundinger, Leksell, Talairach.
The main advantage of the Stereotactic System is to allow millimetric precision in brain incision. Micromar, with over 35 years of know-how in neurosurgery, was the pioneering company in Stereotaxy in Latin America.
In our line, we offer, in addition to the Aimsystem, our Stereotactic System, a complete range of Cannulas and Electrodes for Stereotactic Procedures such as Biopsy, cyst drainage and hematomas, guided surgery, brain lesion, deep brain electrode implantation (DBS) either uni or bi-lateral, catheter and probe implantation, as well as kits for integration with neuroendoscopy and micro-recording (The Micromar Stereotaxy cannulas and electrodes have a validity of 4 years)
